Lagos Speaker Obasa, Not A Graduate Of Law School, Bought Gown To Fake


The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa who recently is faced with corruption charges has been alleged not to be a graduate of law school.

MediaOrchid recalls that Obasa who in response to the charges of embezzlement and misappropriation of funds against him said "Money is for spending".

A recent report by Sahara Reporters on Wednesday 29th July 2020 to be precise, alleges that Obasa did not graduate from law school but instead bought a gown on graduation day and has been faking to be a lawyer. The report said more evidence to further prove that the lawmaker did not finish from the Nigerian Law School has emerged.

SaharaReporters had exclusively reported how Obasa's name was not found on the numerous rolls of legal practitioners kept with the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The Supreme Court In response to an enquiry on the subject matter on July 24, 2020, categorically stated that Obasa’s name was not found on the numerous rolls of legal practitioners kept with it.


In a letter signed by one Gertrude B. Karenton-Mordi on behalf of the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court which SaharaReporters has confirmed seeing, on Monday, It was stated

“This is to inform you that we have checked our records and cannot find the name: MUDASHIRU AJAYI OBASA on the numerous Rolls of Legal Practitioners kept in this honourable court.”
SaharaReporters further reported that  Obasa's political associates went on a media campaign to prove he indeed went to and finished from the Nigerian Law School in Lagos.

However, an excerpt from the recent report by SaharaReporters reads ,

"More pieces of evidence gathered by SaharaReporters has shown that Obasa, who is notorious for corruption never finished from the law school but bought a gown on graduation day and has been pretending to be a lawyer ever since."
