Following his assumption into office of Ag. National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abimbola is Set to call for a NEC meeting.
Senator Abimbola Ajimobi who took over leadership of the party in line with section 14 subsection 3 of the party's constitution which states,
"The Deputy National Chairman shall act as the National Chairman in the absence of the National Chairman from his zone".
In a statement made available by Bolaji Tunji the special adviser, Communication and Strategy which stipulates that Senator Ajimobi as a result of the order of the court of Appeal which affirmed the Suspension of the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole has began to function in the capacity of the mantle of leadership that fell on him.
The Statement furthermore pointed out that Ajimobi's appointment into the National Working Committee NWC of the APC was affirmed by a Federal High Court and beseeched all party members to allow peace to continue to reign until a NEC meeting is called to determine the next progressive step for the APC.
