Abubakar Malami (SAN) the Attorney General of the Federation and also the minister of Justice has requested the sack of Ibrahim Magu the Ag. Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Malami in a letter to president Buhari alleged that the Magu diverted recovered Loots and was also guilty of outright Insubordination describing the actions and conduct of the EFCC Boss as a liability to the anti corruption War.
Sources who are most likely the supporters of the EFCC chairman have tried to maintain that the the allegations against Magu is yet another plot to remove him from office stressing that he has been through similar situations quite a number of times and emerged stronger.
Another source revealed that the report from the Department of State Service (DSS) on Magu which dates back to 2016 and gave pointers to reasons why the conduct of the EFCC Boss should be questioned coupled with these fresh allegations may prompt President Buhari to set up a panel to Probe Magu due to the weight of these allegations.
